non o multiple entry

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just got for the first time a non immigrant multiple entry 1 year visa (the 200 $US version) based on family.

Initially they thought of giving me a sigle entry and he started talking about re entry permit and this got me confused. They eventually gave me the 1 year multiple which I assumed there is no need to get a re entry stamp when I leave for work soon???.

Usually never stay here for more than 2 months at the time then working over seas thats why I wanted a multiple enrty

Thanks

You visa allows unlimited 90 day entries for a year from the date of issue.

enter just before the expiry date of the visa and you get a fresh 90 day stamp, giving you 15 months use

You can enter as often as you want before the 'enter before' date printed on the visa. No need for a re-entry permit.

Multiple entries of up to 90 days each visit.

Thanks gents!

If you enter Thailand just before the end of the 1 year, you will trigger another 90 days, essentially making it a 15 month visa.

If it were an O-A, if you enter just before the end of the first year they will give you another year, not another 90 days. However the multiple-entry lasts only for the first year, so you have to then get, separately, from an Immigration office not on arrival, a multiple entry permit for the second year. At the end of the second year you then apply for an extension and a further multiple re-entry permit. Not sure if you can extend "family reason" visas
