Ordering off Ebay - USA to Thailand

Featured Replies

Trying to buy a few things off Ebay. Items located in USA and want them sent to Thai address. It is the same address as Paypal so should be no problem.

Can't for the life of me make it through checkout ! Its says seller doesn't ship here. Thailand is definitely on their list and have contacted about 3 sellers to check. We send to Thailand they all say.

But I'm still stuck in check out where it says change address or contact seller.

Anyone had this problem and found a way out ?

Actually many, if not most, US sellers on Ebay do not ship to Thailand or when the do so charge outrageous price and often require you contact them.  For ordering from China, and often Europe, it works well, and often very cheap or free shipping - not so good for US sellers.

I have been playing around a bit and I think the problem might be with the Global Shipping Program . the sellers were all offering this. I tried to go through the process with one that uses ordinary shipping and it seemed ok. Not too sure as I didn't complete payment, it was not really what I wanted!

Oh well maybe look for a Chinese seller !!

A good way to find China sellers is to select free shipping on the left side - as then most will be Hong Kong and China and a few from Europe (although there will still be some free shipments at outrageous sale price listed from USA).

Believe the Global Shipping varies by items as to countries they can send - but have not used so could be wrong.

OK I seem to have solved it . I had to tweek my shipping address slightly.

It didn't like an abbreviation that was in it.

Problem now solved!

Strange though that only the orders going through GSP got thrown out.
