December 4, 20169 yr Suddenly on Koh Samui, all these little white 'teeth' have started to appear and nobody has a clue what they mean. Do they exist in other parts of Thailand? There seem to be 3 sorts. Anybody asctually KNOW what they're trying to convey? (And don't say 'rumble strips' because have these, and they are not the same as the 'teeth'!) Thanks in advance!
December 4, 20169 yr Seen them around chiang mai. I assumed they were to make/warn you to slow down. They seem to be before a crossing or other obstacle and get closer together as you get nearer (supposedly increasing your sense of speed) Your pic shows a crossing ahead, and the other lane doesnt have them
December 4, 20169 yr Indicate a zebra crossing ahead. Just been installed in Lamphun province all the way up the 106 between Li and Lamphun. Good idea, have similar in the UK (zigzag lines instead), which means a zebra crossing is obvious, whilst here often you don't know they're ahead until you're on them. Next up, teach people what a zebra crossing is.

December 4, 20169 yr Author Thanks for this. A closer look reveals these 'teeth' are indeed next to schools. But it seems they have yet to paint the zebra crossings to go with them! 4 hours ago, jonw8uk said: Seen them around chiang mai. I assumed they were to make/warn you to slow down.
