PM Prayut asks general public to preserve environment

Featured Replies

They need to stop people littering. Some even use their front yards as trash dumps. I've never understood it.

And stop with the straws and plastic bags..

Does this mean there won't be a burning season in northern Thailand next year?

Not unless you pay for the gas to plow it in instead.

Stsrt a national pick up the trash day for the entire county. Get all involved including the schools. Might make a difference and people start to take pride in their country instead of trashing it .

Excellent idea, general. Let's start by banning coal-fired power plants, providing legal and human rights protection for environmental activists, bringing to justice those who have disappeared so many of them over the years, shutting down illegal logging and encroachment done by members of the military and those with police/military connections,  and building national rail lines for mass transit rather than for the transport of chinese goods.

So you would like to see thai running nuclear powerplants with their mai pen lai mentality??

They just don't get it do they.  They think words can solve every problem.

Someone needs to whisper in his ear  ''If you fail to plan, you plan to fail''.   However; this would probably just confuse the poor chap !

There is so much jingoistic nationalism here, it would be so easy to create a national campaign, about keeping your country beautiful. If you really respect your land, your country, and your nation, do your part to keep the country up. And if not, you are not a patriot! Some kind of nonsense like that. People would buy into it.

False dilemma. There's biofuel, hydroelectric, solar, wind, NGV, and it's possible to import energy, too...
