Number of days to be entered in Visa Extension Form TM.7

Featured Replies

Hello,

I will shortly be submitting a "Visa Extension Form TM.7" to immigration for a: "Visa Extension of Temporary Stay by Reason of Marriage", for the reason of supporting my Thai wife. (Often known among applicants as a Thai marriage visa although not its official name.)

I currently have this type of visa, and will shortly need to apply for a replacement / renew it.

On TM. 7 form there is a field in which the applicant is to enter the number of days they seek for the validity of the visa.

I would be interested to know what is the maximum number of days that is permissible to be entered in that field.

Is it always "365" days, or could it be more days than that, and if so what would be the maximum number of days permissible (and advisable) to enter here?

Regards,

You put 365 days since the maximum length of the extension is one year.

I always write '1 year' rather than 365 or 366 days, and have always been granted permission to stay for 1 year.

1) Hello Elviajero,

If that works for you then that's fine, but I enter the number of days since that is what the form requests (and the odd day for leap years may be ignored given that one must apply for a new visa in good time before the existing visa expiry, and so I expect some days get "shaved-off" each time anyway).
