PHNOM PENH:-- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has told his critics, including the international community, to stay quiet in the future and allow him resolve the domestic problems in Cambodia, The Phnom Penh Post Online reported on Friday.

Speaking at the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone on Thursday, Hun Sen said there were lessons to be learned from last Friday’s royal pardon for deputy opposition leader Kem Sokha, saying that he had only made his decision to offer the olive branch after his critics kept silient.

“This is a message to say that Cambodia knows how to solve its problems, so do not put on any pressure. Hun Sen has different behavior to others – if you put on pressure, I sleep and calmly ignore. You cannot put pressure on this person,” he said.

I think he means to stay quiet while he evicts farmers from their land and sells it off for a personal profit.  Exploiting the county's natural resources for personal gain.  And eliminating those opposed to him.  Great leader.

What is it with these Prime Ministers in this part of the world? Seems none of them can take criticism! Perhaps it is because they are so embroiled in corruption! If they can't take the heat, they should not be in public office. Criticism is healthy.

Just one more scary leader in uncertain times.

Don't you dare invoke Article Section 44, or else.... I will go to sleep and calmly ignore.

He's built a crooked little empire for himself and his family, relatives and cronies. Inserting family and puppets in key positions, using threats, law suits, and violence when necessary against opponents.

A former terrorist and member of one of the most despotic and murderous regimes ever. Now a despot building a family political dynasty and pillaging and raping wealth from his country and its people.

And still the wonderful democratic loving West do business with him.

Seems some Prime Ministers went to the same school?

His history is interesting -  but to sum up, he is yet another vicious dictator.

"Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has told his critics, including the international community, to stay quiet in the future and allow him (to) resolve the domestic problems in Cambodia . . ."

To allow him to resolve domestic problems that he, himself, has created.

Headline should read, "Hun Sen tells the world not to pressure him because he is useless."
