Nice one Toon. That's a long way to run. I once stopped in Bang Saphan  on my way from Prajuap and before going to Thap Sakae down the coast but I was on the bus not my feet.

I imagine it could be one of those places that's a very pleasant place to live. Not too small to be boring but small enough to have that friendly feel.

Well done for raising the money.

Very good job, Toon !  Not only being the lead singer with the best Thai rock band at this time, but also raising such an amount of money for this hospital, is truly great !

Tremendous achievement, many thanks for your efforts, great job, not forgetting all those kind people who supported you, Thailand can be rightly proud of the funds generated for the Hospital.

BANGKOK, 12th December 2016 (NNT) - The Prime Minister has expressed admiration for Toon Bodyslam's Kao Khon La Kao project, undertaken to raise funds to purchase medical equipment for Bang Saphan Hospital as a tribute to His Majesty the late King, praising him as a role model for doing good deeds in remembrance of King Bhumibol.

Rock icon Arthiwara Khongmalai, known to millions of fans as Toon Bodyslam, decided to run 400 kilometers from Bangkok to Bang Saphan district of Prachuap Khiri Khan province in 10 days starting on December 1 to raise money for medical equipment to be acquired in dedication to His Majesty the late King Rama IX. He was joined by a number of celebrities for some of the distance.

The premier praised him as a role model to youths and the general public and said his charity project was creative as it required a small amount of money but was very well received.

The project's accumulated donations of over 63 million baht were officially transferred to Bang Saphan Hospital after the rock icon reached his destination at Bang Sapan market.

Admires the man and does nothing

We've all been here long enough to recognise that the title was a transliterated slip...

It's much more likely that the initial article / phrase when written in Thai translates to something closer to "PM Congratulates Toon Bodyslam.....".....  which would seem fairly normal given the circumstances...

More likely to be a translation mix-up between praise and admire. I bet the PM used the Thai word chom or rather the Thai journalist used chom to describe the PM's response to Toon's run.
