I don't know about you but when I see flashing blue lights in my rear view mirror I move out of the way. But I seem to be the only person who does. So do we do this in the west by law or just because it is the right thing to do? :o

The problem here is the road congestion and narrow streets making it difficult to pull out of the way. I do see Thais move over if they can. Just recently saw a Thai move his car out into an intersection at a red light to let the ambulance drive through. Also recently there was an ambulance about 4 cars behind me and traffic stopped at a red light and his siren going. Both outgoing lanes were packed, cars turning into the other lanes from the green light and would not have seen him if he attempted to go into that lane. He decided to turn his siren off and wait, hospital was about 500 meters on.

Myself, I do it here or back home not so much for it being the law, but it is the right thing to do.
