BANGKOK: -- Former forest department deputy director-general Vitoon Chalayonnavin, on Wednesday, lodged a complaint with Klong Luang district police in Pathum Thani province accusing spokesman of Wat Dhammakaya Mr Ong-art Thamnitha of committing defamation against him.

Mr Vitoon who is currently a court’s expert told the police that Mr Ong-art, in a recent press conference, said he was dismissed from government service because he, on several occasions, made distorted assessments of aerial photos in a way which caused damages to the state.

Mr Ong-art told the media that police referred to Mr Vitoon’s distorted aerial photo assessments as basis to take legal action against Phra Dhammachayo for alleged encroachment and illegal construction on a stream in Phu Rua district of Loi province and forest encroachment for the construction of World Peace Valley Buddhist centre in Nakhon Ratchasima.

BANGKOK: -- ONGART THAMNITA, the spokesman for followers of Dhammakaya Temple, yesterday urged the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to withdraw its police complaint against him and other temple adherents rather than “impose fear upon people”.

In the announcement via Facebook Live, Ongart said he had not intended to make public statements that incited disaffection in a manner likely to cause a disturbance, as specified by Section 116. He added that he was ready to prove his innocence in the judicial process.

Ongart said his statement on Sunday, which precipitated the DSI complaint, simply conveyed facts to the media and stated principles to enable authorities to understand how temple supporters thought and felt so they could resolve the problem peacefully.

Enlightening! Nirvana, here we come!

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how all these people who are ready to 'prove their innocence in the judicial process' seem to do their utmost to delay, obstruct and avoid that same process?

I can definitely see a strengthening in their pathetic approach. On a scale of 1 to 50 they moved up to the 2nd notch.

I wonder, if the DSI/Police/Army will use this empty entrance to raid the wat, or choose the entrance being blockaded because it's the front gate?

There is two unarmed private security guards there, would you take them on?    The DSI have 250 armed police and soldiers on standby but nobody wants to lead the charge and the forensic squad have to wash thier hair and sort out the sock drawer.

Why is nothing done against the Dhammakaya Temple  as it seems like a crime center of Thailand!!!!!!!!!!!

Having witnessed the "judicial process" here I can hardly blame them!  :shock1:
