Everest Spare Wheel

Featured Replies

I just looked at my spare wheel as was thinking of buying sn extra alloy rim so as not to waste a new tyre.

I see that it is a different make to the ones on the car and a 17 inch but 65 section..whereas on the wheels are 20 inch 50 section. So about the same dia.

Can someone with a T+ tell me what size their spare is please.

Thanks

Is yours a 2015 vehicle?

If mine has been swapped only two possible places....

Actually now I think about it ...it came with a steel rim as I thought what a waste of a good tyre at the time.

Just checked mine Goodyear 265 50 R20.

Same as all the others.

Same rim too.

Is yours a 2.2L?

Mine is 2.2L 2WD Titanium+

That's what I have just been told.  2.2L comes with alloy as spare. 3.2L comes from factory with a steel spare.

I just find that somewhat hard to take in.  Need someone who has a 2015 T+.

It's very unfortunate that Mr IMHO disappeared from this site mid year as he is the only person that I know of who had a 2015 T+.

Seems like all the manufactures are fitting a steel small rim as a spare. (saves monies for them)

Some now don't even supply one of those, just a set up to seal and re-inflate your tire once it has had a puncher. It's a get you to the local garage thing. That's of cause if the puncher isn't a big job 'rip' then you'll be buggered.

New alloy rim and tire for my Tuna Spivo was 7 years ago well over 24thbt. So sticking with the steel one.

Mrs.Trans daughter had a new Fortuner a few years back living in BKK. It had an alloy spare.

Came out one morning to find a neat round 3" hole drilled in the centre of the rear plastic bumper and the spare gone. Seems a crew were going round nicking spares to make up stets to sell. If the ride had a steel spare this probably would not have happened. Her insurance paid up.....
