New visa regulations...

Featured Replies

Hi, I am an English guy [British passport holder resident in the UK] I have just received a 60 day tourist visa from the Thai Embassy in London. My plan is to visit other SE Asian countries before arriving in Thailand overland at the Cambodian border [where my passport will be stamped on entry]. I am confused with regard to arriving in Thailand overland or via air. If I have the 60 day visa does it make any difference whether I arrive overland or by air? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

It makes no different how or where you arrive.

It should make no difference if you arrive by air or over a land border, but this is Thailand and nothing is ever 100 percent certain.

If possible, I would arrive by air.

Your choice.

The new rule does not affect entries by land using a Tourist Visa.  I would avoid Poipet, especially if you have any previous Thai-entry history.

Fully agree with this.

1) The new regulation does not affect traveling with a valid visa.

2) You even have a visa from your home country.

3) You sound like a legit tourist.

What more would one need?

No concerns.
