PM to Sign Agreements in Vietnam

Featured Replies

Cambodia and Vietnam will sign three agreements during Prime Minister Hun Sen’s official two-day visit to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, a minister attached to the prime minister’s office said yesterday. Speaking to journalists at Phnom Penh International Airport, Sry Thamrong said that two agreements – one on the transfer of prisoners and one on exchanging criminal law assistance – would be signed by Justice Minister Ang Vong Vathana.

A third agreement on the cooperation of cult and religious affairs between the two countries will be signed by Foreign Affairs Minister Prak Sokhonn and witnessed by both prime ministers.   “We have signed [an agreement for the transfer of prisoners] with many countries already,” Mr. Thamrong said.

“The visit is being made at the invitation of the Vietnamese Prime Minister.” Mr. Hun Sen will hold official talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the head of state, the president of the National Assembly and the secretary-general of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
