Hello. I need to get a certificate of residence in order to renew my driver's license. Can I do this at the U.S. Consulate in Chiang Mai, or do I need to go to Promenada? What documentation do I need to take with me? Do I need a letter from the office where I rent my condo? If I must go to Promenada, is it a long wait, like the retirement extension, or lightning fast, like the 90 day report. Any information will be greatly appreciated, as I've already been stopped by the cops and forced to pay a 400 baht fine on the spot. Not a bribe, but a real fine with a receipt, but no trip to the police station. That's how I found out that my license had already expired. Fairly recent reports say G4T does them for 500, and you pick up next day.  

Thanks for the information. I've used G4T in the past with good results, and would be willing to use them again.
