DO you make your own food in Chiangmai ?

what kinda recipe you got ?

i love cooking .. not that i know how to cook thai food .

but i do know some chinese dishes and italian and japanese dishes

.. if there is enough people who cook .. maybe we can have some kinda

"POT LUCK PARTY "

Let see where do this lead too .

best is you know how to cook ..

IF NOT .. maybe we can CHOOSE someone house .

can start with MINE if we have no location .. i can also get cafe to allow us to bring food there .

miss those days when i am back in my country where we have pot luck party and everyone bring one dishes that there enjoy .. and we enjoy nice food .

CHICKEN CASHEW NUT

INGREDIENTS

300g chicken breast

2 tbsp vegetable oil

½ tbsp chopped garlic

½ cup roasted cashew nuts

1 small onion sliced

1/3 cup spring onion cut into short lengths

1 ½ tbsp fish sauce

1 tbsp dark soy sauce ¼ tsp salt

METHOD

Heat oil in wok over medium heat.

Fry garlic and when it has yellowed add the chicken and cook for 3 minutes, turning regularly.

Then add the cashew nuts, onion, spring onion, fish sauce, dark soy sauce and salt and cook for 4 minutes.

Garnish with spring onion.

For me I have left a fewe ingredients out cos not into the dried red/maroon chillis.

Enjoy, got to change my loction back to UK :o otherwise would be round!

23 and no money been living in CM for over 4 yrs on and off with Thai GF now she may be comming here. Unfortunatley can only make enough money to live in CM and not enough to build a life :o

Spose CM will have to wait a few years. Wouldn't be anywhere else if I could help it.

Did not realise that you were so young..you never came accross as being so young.

My second eldest Son was in the same position as you, he loved living here ..but just could not make enough to have a comfortable life.

So he headed home to build up his fortune..2 years later he has a very good job, new long term relationship and comes over to see me twice a year...he does NOT regret moving back, but he is also aware of how much he loves Thailand and if the time ever came when his relationship failed ,or he had substantial funds behind him ..he would return and ENJOY it.

There is no point being "Skint in Paradise"

You are doing the right thing now...and we look forward to your return when you have your "Pot of Gold".
