Visa extension

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I believe that this question has already been raised in the past but I would like to have it confirmed.

I will come with Hungarian passport and get the visa on arrival (two weeks, suppose it is 1000B).

However, I would like to stay three weeks and I need to make an extension.

Where am I supposed to make this extension, what documents are needed and how much it costs?

Thank you for your answers.

I do not think a VOA can be extended.

You will have to leave Thailand and return to get another VOA.

EDIT.

As a Hungarian citizen you are not entitled to apply for a VOA.

You can get a Visa Exempt Entry which will give you 30 days and is free.

This can be extended at Immigration by 30 days for a fee of 1,900 Baht.

Then it sounds good because I plan to stay only three weeks there but I get 30 days by default initially and no extension will be needed.

It seems the question has been answered.

Thanks again for your help
