BANGKOK, 27 December 2016 (NNT) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha stressed on the government’s intention to promote investments in 2017 - the year of troubleshooting and clarification.

The premier said the Board of Investment’s promotional privileges coincided with the government’s Pracharat public-private cooperation scheme designed to help agricultural sector and community enterprises.

The government is to provide support and take measures to lure domestic and foreign investors in 2017, viewed as the year of troubleshooting and clarification, while the people at all levels, especially low-income earners, will be taken care of in bid to achieve the Thailand 4.0 development goal.

He said no new measures will be issued as New Year gifts to the general public as the government has already announced some measures and campaigns.

Honestly, <deleted> does "the year of troubleshooting and clarification" mean?

Going to admit he stole a country's democracy? 'Promotional privileges coincides with  cooperation scheme'. Clarify the dollar and pocket pls. Negotiate corruption for a price? ..... Give me something i can understand.

As a rule of thumb foreign investors won't touch military run countries with a barge pole.

As for domestic investors they have already voted with their feet and are now investing in countries like Myanmar and Vietnam.

And the last shall be first? Don't count on it. With out the low income earners where would Thailand be? Well back to my movie about the USA "A Day Without A Mexican"

If Thailand is going to have an election for Prime Minister in 2017, why isn't it being discussed or debated. Where are the candidates for public office?

If 2017 is the year of troubleshooting, it business as usual.
