MAE HONG SON — Former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra voiced her displeasure Tuesday for allegedly being followed by plainclothes police while on vacation.

 

Yingluck made her aversion public through her official Facebook page for allegedly having been followed all day by plainclothes policemen while on vacation with her family in Pai district, Mae Hong Son province.

Why would the Junta try to prevent her to flee abroad? It would be a dream option for them. They would get rid of her for a long time, which is exactly what they have been trying to do for some time now.

I still think they would rather see her flee abroad and have an extra bogeyman, rather than a martyr (I know, this word is quite out of proportion, but I don't currently have another one at hand).

They desperately need another" fugitive" tag to justify the juntas actions and failure to achieve nothing in slmost 4 years.

Most people would agree she is by some distance the most popular politician in the country.That is why she is so feared.Still the grubby third world view of those who send heavies to trail her is rather revealing.

It's almost impossible to overstate the desire of the elite to crush Shinawatra's influence.They screwed it up first time round and are determined not to make the same mistake again.

Shinawatra will pass into distant memory but the minority who control Thailand won't have addressed the underlying problem.That will remain outstanding to be dealt by rational beings prepared to compromise.So far no sign of them.

Exactly.  She is out on Bt 30 million bail.  Police and the army have every right to follow her movements.  She has no privacy rights when she is on bail.
