  • I agree with UJ and elviajero.   Obtain a new Imm O SE 90 day Visa from Vientiane, then during the last 30 days of that Visa apply for a new extension of stay from Udon Immigration office.

  • You have to enter Laos by getting a visa on arrival before returning to Thailand. You will only get a 30 day visa exempt entry if your do that. Also after just clearing an overstay they could den

Long drive!

They'll issue a Non Imm O ME Visa based on marriage.

You can get an extension based on marriage from Udon Immigration though during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries that Visa allows.

You still have to submit your application morning, stay overnight, collect Visa following day.

I know, I've driven to Sakhon Nakhon several times, and it's not a pleasant drive at all, but I remember the queues at Vientiane, hundreds no matter how early you were there!
I've read here that it's relatively quiet at Savannakhet, and if I so wish, I can get a 1 year Visa based on Marriage?

Vientiane is bad on Mondays and Thursdays when the visa run vans arrive. Other days they are not near as busy.

They have streamlined the application process since you were last there also. You don't pay the fee for the visa until the next day also.

Only one per entry. Get it and then go out for your non-o visa.

To ubonjoe,
Thanks for your kind help last time!
I'm now on my 60 day VE extension ( Marriage). I' m changing this for 90 day Non O as you you advised at Vientiane, what Docs do I need and cost?
When I have the 90 day Non O, when's the earliest I can apply for 1 year ext by Marriage?

The fee for a single entry non-o visa is 2000 baht.

You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of her house book registry and ID card signed by her.

You can apply for the extension during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from the visa.
