Hi Gang.

I am getting some time off work and flying into Phuket on Dec.22. :D:D:D

I was thinking to head to Khao Lak for a couple of days between X-mas and New Years to relax.

Anybody have recommendations or tips about the place? Ideally, i would a love a hotel that is both near the beach and a local food market (i like upscale hotels but i prefer strret food, call me weird). I have spent gobs of time in phuket and i am looking for a little change of pace maybe.

7-8000bt/night is my limit.

If you like upscale hotels, there is plenty of choice for you in Khao Lak. Check out the website khaolak.de, click on the union jack to get it in English.
