Several places in Chiang mai certainly have them but its not the sort of product that you would find being sold here.

Very likely a made to order product and specialised fixing especially when many of the stanchions are on ball and socket joints to create the angles.

The ones I have seen however usually get very dirty very quickly and look an eyesore but then again "property maintenance" isnt in the Thai vocab.

North of town, heading west from the river on Highway 3029 (the middle ring road), you'll see this tent and awning company on your left.  They can custom make whatever you want.

Mr Brads reply is correct....for the life of me I can't remember the name of this place but the make all sorts if sun sails and awnings.

They use a variety of materials and can advise on what is best for your situation and budget.

I spend quite some time a few years back looking for a decent UV treated shade. Most of what I found fell to bits within 6 months.  This shop know what they are doing and have good materials that will last.

In reply to the last post....yes they can make waterproof shades.

As an update... I was off into town from Mae Rim so I swung by that place. Its called Tent and Canvas.  I'm not sure if they actually make the shades now or if they just sell the material.  Last time I was there (A while ago) they had lots of samples on display. Now it appears that side of the business is something else.

Due to the rain/drizzle I didn't get off the bike and check but there were lots of materials on display through the window.

For some reason the image is showing the wrong side of the street!  So just use the direction tools to turn it around.... and you will likely have to decrease the size too.   Sorry but its my first time in trying to attach a picture via websites.
