New regulations to protect consumers for online services ready for cabinet approval

The Ministry of Commerce will next week propose new regulations that will protect consumers for online purchases and money transaction to the cabinet for approval.

 

The move was seen to prepare the country to move to Generation 4.0.

 

The proposal was the work of the ministry’s  joint standing committee on commerce, industry and banking.

 

It covers transportation and delivery fees for online purchases and payments made through counter services.

 

Deputy Minister of Commerce Sontirat Sontijirawong, also committee chairman, said the new regulations cover transportation and delivery fees for Online transactions as well as monetary payments made through Counter Services.
