Another question Joe, I've organised my PP renewal thanks to your kind help.
I would like to get a UK PP for my 5 year old Daughter, what must I do?

It is the same as getting yours other than the supporting documents and the cost.

I went to the link I posted earlier and changed it to getting a child's passport. https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports/y/thailand/applying/child/thailand

Joe, I'm having difficulty trying to establish, from the "Guidelines" what supporting Docs I need for my Daughter's PP App.The information seems to be somewhat contradictory!
It's my intention to take the two applications, and supporting docs to my interview!

Just for info, it is possible to do a in-0ut border run via Cambodia and one of the scheduled border run companies from Bangkok with a one year multiple entry non O.

At least it was in the past, as I had a one year multiple entry non O at one time and that is how I did my 90 day border runs.

It can be done in a 12 hour day trip from Bangkok.

You might want to check with VFS as to whether you can hand in 2 applications at 1 appointment.

last year when I applied for my and my sons new passports I was told that I needed 2 separate appointments.

You will not have a problem entering the country.

Would it be possible for your wife to write the letter and send it by email to you. If you have the money in the bank it appears you still have time to get your non-o visa.

The embassy In Singapore has history of being difficult. The have been asking for financial proof for non--o visas for sometime now.

Does the thai immigration at the airport have your record to stat that I am married to a thai woman?

Not unless you have gotten an extension based upon marriage before and they would have to look for it.

What do u mean by extension based upon marriage?

It is a one year extension of stay issued by immigration based upon marriage to a Thai.

If I get a 1 year non -o marriage visa I can still extend my visa at the immigration at the province I stay when my original 1 year visa expires?

If you get a multiple entry non-o visa you can apply for the one year extension of stay during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries it allows. You don't have to wait for your visa to expire.

Joe, I'm going to the PP app. appointment at VFS with both mine and my Dagjlhter's apps. Are the Counter signatories man
datory, and do the staff check that all the supporting docs are in order to submit to the UK, before you leave the appointment?

The counter signatories will definitely be required for your daughters passport.

unless your appearance has changed dramatically since your last passport then not so important for your own application.

however I would suggest getting counter signatories done for both applications.

you also require a copy of the passport of the counter signatory.

the counter signatory requires to have a U.K., European, American or commonwealth passport.

they will check your paperwork to an extent, however they are just a middle man so it is your responsibility to ensure paperwork is in order.

Doiger, thank you kindly, will they accept both apps without my Daughter present?

I don't think it will be a problem that your daughter is not there (I always take my son to avoid any problems).

the only problem you may find is if they allow you to submit 2 separate applications at 1 appointment.

Joe, much of a problem with Thai spouse of 8 years and lived whole time together, for her to get UK PP?

She would have to live in the UK for some time on a visa and permanent leave to remain before and apply for UK citizenship before she could get a UK passport.

What about visitor visa for her Joe?

You can find info here on the other visa forum about it. If you have questions post a topic there about it.
