1 Year Marriage Visa Validity

Featured Replies

Hi There,

I currently have a 1 year marriage visa and i was wondering as i am leaving the kingdom for 4 weeks will my visa be finished on my return? the expiry date is 17 july 2007 but im not sure whether this type of visa is multiple entry or not?

Regards

If your visa is the 'Thai wife' 1 year marriage visa then this is not a multiple entry visa so you will need to get a re entry permit from immigration for 1000Baht before you depart and then you will not lose your visa upon re entry to Thailand.

Moved to the visa for Thailand forum.

Scouse.

Did you obtain this visa/stamp from a Consulate or from Immigration? If from a Consulate it will have an "M" in the number of entries and be called a visa class "O" and say nothing about marriage. If from Immigration it will just be a permitted to stay stamp until 17 July 2007 and be marked support Thai wife.

If what you have is a visa you have to make 90 day exits so you are free to enter/exit at any time.

If it is an immigration extension of stay you must obtain a re-entry permit prior to leaving Thailand. This can be done at any immigration office or even at airport but will cost 1,000 baht and require a form/photo.
