Lloydsa Bank U K Internet Down

Featured Replies

For any U K Expats who use Lloyds Bank thought you may want to know that it is impossible to access website for 4 days

Link directs you to web page whick explains the problem

Got my money out 2 days before  and left little in it

Not a UK Expat or Lloyds Bank customer but I can go to the bank's general public webpage and ibanking logon webpage no problem.

What is the specific webpage you cannot reach?

And where you say, "link directs you to a webpage which explains the problem" sounds like a slow connection or maybe malware redirecting you to another page.  Doubtful a major bank such as Lloyds would go down even 4 hours or 40 minutes much less 4 days. Give us the specific webpage you are trying to connect to so others and try connecting to it.

It's working just fine for me, I logged in a few minutes ago - no problems now.

Maybe they fixed it all.

Pib I think your confidence is misplaced - http://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/01/11/lloyds_bank_group_sites_kicked_offline_by_tech_gremlins/

There have been several other bank outages in the last couple of years in the UK

The article did say, "Services were unavailable for several hours during the outage."

So, since "several" means more than 2 or 3, I guess 4 or more hours was possible.  But "4 days" as the OP said?  Maybe his account was specifically impacted/corrupted.   Hard telling.  I can just say in my life time I've never experienced a 4 day outage of any of my US ibanking....nor even one day....but a couple of hours, yea.  Been lucky maybe.

I am a Lloyds IOM customer, called them when internet banking down , very helpful and did everything on the phone

Overall in todays environment I rate them very highly

Thanks Lloyds
