Misleading title. The lion didn't "attack him".

These false titles seem to be increasing on this site.

if I was chained up I would attack too

I sure wish the OP article would have identified at least the city or even the name of the zoo where this occurred....

Mainly so, everyone here learning about the treatment of animals there would be sure to NEVER go there.

It seems, someplace has decided they need to pick up where the now-defunct Tiger Temple left off...

Heartbreaking to see such a magnificent animal treated this way, I soon learned not to go to Thai zoos.

Bl**dy disgraceful and Very cruel I also will NEVER go to a Thai Zoo

why not name and shame the zoo? Why protect these idiots? Should be banned

To bad the chain hold the lion .........share this video there has come and end to this treatment of those beautiful animals let the tourists stay away from those places....ZOO ? 555555555555

Give this winner a few cobras to take home in a burlap sack for his kids...

Do you suppose the Lion wasn'T happy to be chained up to a cement block so stupid tourists could have piactures taken with him.

Probably not, and I doubt you would like it either.

That lion is still under probation and has yet to learn Thainess.

What a dip

If you had ever been to Garden "City", you would know that he would.

Treating animals by tethering them on a short chain to a slab of concrete, and surrounding them by gawking tourists makes me jolly batey. It's just not tickety-boo. Is there no RSPCA in Thailand?

I'd have been p______d off with this idiot, too; especially if I had to endure his antics while tied to a two-foot chain.

Just low class or no class!!

I was at the tiger farm and a tiger was sitting there licking his balls , I said to my friend I wish I could do that! He replied you better try patting him first.

Ahhh... he likes butts then...but the lion is not gay...

OP says he's from Flintshire. Probably pissed and thought it was a sheep!

Ridiculous !

Damn...! I wanted to see the lion bite the idiots head off...!  And the two foot chain thing is disgusting...!

2 ft chain on a wild animal so some

a££hole can feel supreme . I went to chiangmai zoo with the kids and saw an elephant chained all day in the sun , so tourist can pay to feed it bananas ..totally discusting ! this is the reason I refuse to go to zoos again .

I hope others do the same then there will be no need for zoos.

Me too, I feel more sorry for the lion than boxer Robbie.

The PM should do something about Thailand zoos either drastically improve the conditions the animals are forced to tolerate or better still close them altogether.

Stupid tourist.

Why didn't this make the students video on why foreigners come to Thaialnd?   Harrassing and tormenting  chained animals  seems to be a popular past time for  some foreign tourists.

Pity more of these  tourists are not killed or maimed so that the public gets the message about not bothering caged wild animals.

Maybe the loin was thinking that the man is making a gay move on him.....

Next time, pat him on the head mate....

Freudian slip ?

It is called Clickbait.

Yes, I know and it's dishonest. By the Likes I'm getting, seems a lot of posters agree.

Must be a new policy as it was never like this before.

For those asking why the zoo/city/etc aren't named, keep in mind that ThaiVisa only reposted the story that was on the Mirror.co.uk website. The Mirror merely amended and reposted the original story from the DailyPost.co.uk website.

Note that the Daily Post headline was:

"Flintshire boxer has close shave with lion in Thailand".

While the Mirror (bless their sensationalist hearts) changed the headline to:

"Angry 400lb lion attacks British tourist who patted him on the bum while posing for pictures in Thailand"

How long before we read  that a trainer or tourist has been killed by this lion?

It is only a matter of time before that chain breaks.

The guy has been hit on the head too many times. A 400lb lion could cause more damage to him than all his opponents put together! D'head comes to mind.
