BANGKOK: -- Police have launched a nation-wide manhunt for an elderly Czech national who has allegedly slept with several young men and women despite the fact that he has AIDS.

An urgent order was sent to the northern-based 5th provincial police bureau by the Royal Thai Police Office for the police there to arrest the 52-year old Czech, identified as Fefer Zdenek against whom an arrest warrant was issued by the Interpol.

Pol Maj-Gen Pongdet Prommeechit, deputy commissioner of 5th provincial police bureau, described the Czech as a dangerous man and instructed police, especially in eight northern police, to arrest him on sight because of his sexual behavior of spreading AIDS to men and women.
