Pib
Just no understanding or respect for the culture & primary religion of a nation. Stupid is as stupid does.
daveAustin
Yes, a bit dumb. Meanwhile, numerous Thai Buddhists that have committed a crime spend bogus time in Thai temples to absolve themselves.
mercman24
Talking of respect, didn't last long did it, on my daily BTS ride, and downtown i have made a habit of looking for locals showing respect badges for the late King, got to say i do not see many. dotpoom
Seemingly it wasn't disrespectful enough to stop it from being shown all over the place on the Internet.
Dipterocarp
Just ignorance. Probably if a nice Thai person just could say "Here's the problem and why not respect our culture?" The rider would be very apologetic. And yeah I used to be a kid riding skateboards (gnash gnarl grind very destructive even to reinforced concrete) and riding rudely on MTB trails shared by hikers. I grew up Edited January 18, 2017 by Dipterocarp

cardinalblue
Just like a pedestrian he should be held accountable for any damage caused to temple grounds... as as to the bike riding if he doesn't touch any artifact and stays on concrete or path, is it any different than a walker... judge it it on damaged caused not b/c he is on a bike...what about wheelchair people? yes, not being sensitive to venue as that is why he is there riding....should have asked permission which he would not have gotten... doubt proper policy is in place... Mickmouse1
I see hardly anything serious to offend anyone. He was promoting Thai tourism that might bring millions of bucks to Thailand and that Wat? What about the monk who used a woman offering him food to give him a BJ which was caught on Cam last year???????
tagalong
What a load of rubbish....Rubber tires on a push bike is no worse then rubber shoes....You idiots believe the earth is still flat...
Luckysilk
These Thais are much too sensitive. Not to worry there will be a video along shortly of a Thai doing something stupid on the Great Wall or something and I'm sure the Chinese media won't mock ALL Thais. roo860
judge it it on damaged caused not b/c he is on a bike...what about wheelchair people?I'm sure the temple wouldn't mind them doing stunts in their wheelchairs, probably applaud it Sent from my SM-G920F using Thaivisa Connect mobile app

terminatorchiangmai
I am not saying its ok what he did, but maybe they should also make a movie about Thai people peeing on temple compounds or against temple walls ? Or what that be to much footage ?
Billy Bloggs
Only comment in the first shot he does kick off with his foot, so its not rubber tyres on the ground that really is the problem, beside that he is a <deleted>.

jesimps
Naive, although they do occasionally blast incredibly loud pop music from the wat near me.
Jeremy50
Can't really see the problem. Some guy on his own enjoying himself, not doing any damage. Temples have always been used for all sorts of activities, Kung <deleted> for example. Girls dancing in bikinis on stages to loud music OK too. A Thai monk going around the temple on his bike wouldn't have been commented on.

Black arab
The guy was probably a bit insensitive to thai culture addmittedly but you only have to look at the behaviour of some thais reported on TV to wonder why they get upset about this ,or do they believe they are true buddists whatever they do
