Old Fool
I assume they are because the sizes looked like US 3/4" at my GF's place. I need to buy some fittings and things but would hate that they don't thread properly when I arrive. Edited January 22, 2017 by Old Fool
malt25
Just out of interest. Why are you bringing with you ? I'm up in the sticks & can get all, any fittings I need.

Just not sure how much time I have there because we are flying out the same day.
Crossy
The threads are actually very slightly different, but in the small sizes are close enough that they fit just fine with a good splodge of thread sealant or PTFE tape. But as malt25 notes, what are you bringing that isn't available here? lopburi3
Most home supply pipes will terminate with 1/2 inch fittings rather than 3/4 inch even if main lines are 3/4 inch however - suspect safer to buy locally or contract someone (such work is cheap and available anywhere). lopburi3
That was my first reading - but suspect he may mean only in Bangkok 1 day and then flies upcountry to her house in boondocks?
Savilesghost
No they are not exactly the same, Thailand has metric sizes and US uses imperial, ergo 0.75" is in reality 19.03mm

Crossy
Thanks L3, evidently the bit of 3/4" that I picked up to measure is out of spec

Which would be correct as its ID + 2xNWT 26.2-19.03 = 7.17mm/2 = NWT of 3.58mm in this case, but the NWT could vary, but it still out be 19.03mm ID
