bus trip to and from Chiang Mai with Sombat Tours

Used this company last year to go to Chiang Mai and found them to be very good so used them again this year.

Northbound a "super" single deck coach, 3 seats across and big seats with a massage built in, plenty  of leg room and the bus was in excellent condition and driven well, the bus was numbered 18-19.

Southbound 1000 out Arcade, left at 1010, this was a double decker and "supreme" class, numbered 18-5, same seat configuration as the single decker. Suspension seemed a little spongy  and would soon need attention IMO. the bus seemed like the usual double deckers you see around but with less seats and its important to switch on the seat massage centrally, from 1010 until we stopped for eats at 1545 it did not work so a most uncomfortable trip, driven well and the seat belts work. The toilet on this bus was poor smelt like a toilet.

For the price charged (758bts) it was not worth it on the double decker and I am not sure if I would use them again as it seems a bit of a lottery what the bus would be like and what staff you have on board to make sure things are working and its fit to go.
