Hello  everyone I think my swansog visa trip

Planning  to apply Savannakhet for non o multi married to Thai

Do I pay by visa card (seems obvious method for a visa)or in Kip Baht Dollars please?

Will they retain passport if so Do I get a receipt to check into a hotel?

I see the form asks for guarantor in Thailand, no problem

It also asks for address and guarantor in Laos?

Can I leave blank, or do I have to find a guarantor, hotel, travel agent?

Asks for address in Laos "

I will arrive consul before Hotel or is any Hotel ok or do they require a printed reservation with Hotel Address e;g Savan Vegas

It asks for home address , is any of our  family home addresses in Thailand acceptable .

Asks for date of arrival I don't know am going to vietnam then Australia, Is Summer 2017 ok?

Many thanks I think this may be my last time so want to make it easy.

Are there agents like Penang who will do all the leg work for a fee?

If so any contact be most helpful

Thank all of the folks who have amused, helped and advised over the years and anyone who can advise here.

You must pay in cash (in Thai baht).

When you photocopy your passport data page and entry stamp (required for the application) ask for a second copy that you can use for the hotel check in. You get a receipt when you apply, but this is basically just for your pick up the next day.

Lao guarantor: just leave this blank.

Address in Laos: put the name of the hotel you are intending to try, if you do not have a reservation. Bear in mind that a booking in advance through booking.com or Agoda is often cheaper.

For home address, pretty much anything will do.

For date of arrival, again, you can put just about anything. It only matters if they want to see an air ticket into Thailand which the Savannakhet consulate will not.

No agent that will do everything for you. You can get someone to fill out the form, and queue for you so you do not need to stand in line if they are busy, but you need to show your face.

There is a shop directly across the road from the Thai Consulate that will do all photocopies, fill in and print out the application form for you. It cost me 80 baht. This shop used to be beside the consulate.

If you asking about the Lao visa on arrival you can pay 1500 baht or $30 to $42 US dependent upon your nationality. You need one photo for the application.

You pay 5000 baht baht for the multiple entry non-o visa at the consulate.
