Israel plans 2,500 new West Bank settlement homes

JERUSALEM: -- Israel has announced plans for 2,500 more settlement homes in the occupied West Bank. It’s the second such declaration since US President Donald Trump took office indicating he would be more tolerant of such projects than his predecessor.

FARINDOLA, Italy (Reuters) - A helicopter ambulance crashed in the Italian mountains on Tuesday killing all six on board, further stretching emergency services workers who found victims but no more survivors after an avalanche buried a nearby hotel.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China wants dialogue with the new U.S. administration to manage disputes and promote bilateral relations, but only on the basis of respecting each other's core interests, like the "one China" principle, China's foreign minister said.

(Reuters) - Two Los Angeles police officers who fatally shot an unarmed black man described by his lawyer as mentally challenged will face no criminal charges over the 2014 killing, the district attorney said on Tuesday, calling their actions "legally justified."

PHUKET: -- A 67-year-old female Chinese tourist is in a coma at Vachira Phuket Hospital after being pulled unconscious from the swimming pool of a hotel in Mai Khao yesterday evening.
