SETA 2017 to kick off in Thailand this March

BANGKOK, 26 January 2017 (NNT) - The Ministry of Energy is set to host the Sustainable Energy & Technology Asia (SETA 2017) at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Bangna in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emission in Asia.

Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy Thammayot Srichuai said SETA 2017 will be held in March under a joint effort between his ministry and relevant agencies under the concept ‘Towards A Low-Carbon Society.’

Thammayot said the event is aimed at developing an efficient regional energy policy, promoting a green industry and the development of a low-carbon electricity production as well as a low-carbon transportation system.

As for Thailand, the country will implement an energy 4.0 policy and provide incentives to promote the production of hybrid cars and attract investments in the production of alternative energy. SETA 2017 will be held from March 8th to 10th at BITEC Bangna.

As the entry is free, those keen to take part can register at www.SRTA.ASIA. There will be more than 200 exhibitors showcasing their innovations during the 3-day event.
