After 13 years of marriage,my wife has decided that she wants me to adopt her son from a previos marriage.He is now 15.5 years old.Anybody done this before,or have any info on the subject?

First step is to talk to your own Embassy and establish exactly what they require.

Zeroth step is to talk to your own wife and establish exactly what she hopes to achieve. The UK does not recognise Thai adoptions.

Many thanks for the information.Told her it is time consuming,unnecessary and expensive,and she's decided against trying.Thanks again for the help.

My wifes mon in Samut Sakhorn has adopted three boys and one girl in the last forty years.

I don't know all the sorted details but she just took them in cared for them and put them through college.

They were homeless so maybe that made it easier.
