USA topic ... Americans in Thailand -- foreigners reacting to our new president

As everyone knows the USA has elected a  new president and people all over the world are talking about that, and many people, Americans and otherwise, have strong opinions about the new president.

But this thread isn't about political debate about the new president or his policies and actions.

It's about the PERSONAL EXPERIENCES of Americans in Thailand (expats or visiting) when encountering non-Americans here, both Thais and all other nationalities.

The new president has just been in office over a week, but he's already made quite a splash, so I reckon this will be a long term situation.

Please, please, AVOID making this thread yet another hot political debate thread about the new U.S. president.

It's only about what's happening with encounters with non-Americans here.

Yes, of course, those encounters will be colored by how you react to any comments, whether you make it clear that you're a supporter or critic of the new president, but I think that can be mentioned in  an objective way without being about debate on THIS thread.

To add, with respect, the intended audience for this thread is ONLY Americans living or visiting Thailand. Comments from non-Americans about the new U.S. president are not welcome here as they are off topic.

There is no way that this topic is not going to be a political discussion and/or a US bashing topic.

One post has already been removed that was already like that.
