Driver license on SETV

I have no license in any jurisdiction and want a Thai car/moto license.

I am on a SETV but recently got married to a Thai and have the marriage certificate from the Amphur.

What is the correct procedure for me? I am in Ratchaburi.

It would be easier if you got a single or multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage.

The first thing you would need is a certificate of residence from immigration or your embassy to prove your address.

After that it depends upon the requirements at your local drivers license office.

According to the DLT site you need just a 'Visa' to obtain the first temporary licence. A Non Imm Visa for the 5 year full licence.

 

An SETV is ok to take the test.

Long term, now married, you should get a Non Imm O ME Visa as UJ advised.

Correct SETV only get 2yr Temp DL . . . . . . . .  i was downgraded from 5 to 2yr .
