Court rejects bail for Pai Daodin

KHON KAEN: -- The Khon Kaen provincial court turned down the sixth request for bail for Khon Kaen university student Chatupat Boonthararaksa, aka Pai Daodin, and ordered him detain for another 10 days.

 

Chatupat’s lawyer, Mr Anont Nampa, tried to negotiate with the court judges for bail for his client while his mother, Mrs Prim, made appeal in the courtroom for bail for her son before she unexpectedly dashed from the bench and banged her head on the wall of the courtroom and burst in to tears.

 

Mrs Prim was later tended to her head wound by some of her son’s supporters who were there to give moral support to the student activist facing lese majeste for sharing the content of a BBC report about HM the King in his Facebook page.
