Ministry of Commerce says Trump administration economic policies will not directly impact Thailand

 

BANGKOK, 7 February 2017 (NNT) – A Ministry of Commerce study on the impacts of the Trump Administration’s economic policies on Thailand has indicated no direct affects on the Kingdom for the time being except for an opportunity posed by the United State’s possible downsizing of trade with China and Mexico.

Nakhon Si Thammarat residents told not to use water from klongs and river

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: -- People in Muang district of Nakhon Si Thammarat have been told to refrain from using water in natural waterways after officials of the Pollution Control Department have found the water is heavily contaminated with fecal coliform bacteria (FCB) which is unfit for consumption.

Newly-amended charter ready to be sent to HM the King

BANGKOK: -- The new Constitution which was approved in a referendum last year is now ready to be submitted to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun for endorsement after the completion of amendments on provisions regarding the Monarchy as wished by the King.

 

President of the National Legislative Assembly and a member of the special panel tasked with amending the new charter, Mr Pornpetch Wichitcholachai said Monday that Deputy Prime Minister Wisanu Krea-ngarm would be responsible for clarifying the amendments after a meeting of the panel within this week.

 

He said that the office of the secretary-general of the cabinet would decide when the amended charter would be submitted to the Palace and whether or not this could be done within February 18.

Lawsuit looms over airport strike

Teachers seek retrial after 2009 fatal shooting of colleague
