Narcotic police to re-summon Benz Racing for questioning over suspicious ownership of Lamborghini sports car

 

 

BANGKOK: -- Well-known car racer Akarakit Worarojchroendet, alias Benz Racing, will be resummoned for questioning to clear his alleged connection with the Lao drug kingpin Xaysana Kaewpimpa particularly the Lamborghini sports car he owned, a senior police investigator said.

 

The new development of the case came after a meeting of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, and the Anti-Money Laundering Office yesterday.

 

Narcotics Suppression Bureau commissioner Pol Maj Gen Pornchai Chaorenwong said that at present investigators were involved in scrutinizing a great deal of documents involved in the case.

 

This included checking on how a number of luxurious and sports vehicles came to be in the possession of Benz Racing.

 

He stated that Benz Racing would definitely be summoned again following the completion of the investigative team’s probe.

He also said as of the present what interested investigators most is the Lamborghini sports car registered under Kor Jor 51 license plate that is owned by Benz Racing.

 

The license number appeared to be the same as another car owned by a woman.

 

He said the police were asking the Land Transport Department to check on how two cars happened to have same license number.

 

Police investigators plan to invite the woman who owns the vehicle to come in for questioning.

 

Pol Maj Gen Pornchai also revealed that at present it was vital for Benz to present evidence to validate his claim that he had borrowed six million baht from “Boy” ,another major alleged Thai drug trafficker, to purchase the sports car. Boy was earlier arrested for drug charge.

Benz Racing on the issue of the license plate: It only appears to be the same as the other car, but if you look closely you can clearly see that my number plate is much cleaner, in fact the whites are whiter and the blacks are blacker. Also, if I go to Emporium I can park in the super car section with my plates, I doubt they let the other car park there. So you see, it's definitely different plates, really!

Easily solved 2 vehicles with the same plate number?  Tell them both to come in on the same day and flip a coin. Heads you own the plates tails you get a big fine problem solved.

I just want to know if they are going to cross reference his filed income-tax (past 5 years), the price he

paid for the car, and the actual value of the car. This will allow them to ask for a thicker envelope.
