Did Not Get "2" Sign On Second Visa Run

Featured Replies

When I did VISA run to Cambodia past 23 October I got a "1" signed on the entry stamp. Then past 21 November left Thailand for Philippines and came back yesterday 12 Dicember. On the entry stamp there is no "2" sign. Does this mean they count only VISA runs at land borders ?

Did the ones of you that did 2 consecutive VISA runs at land borders get the "2" sign on the last entry stamp ?

That's my understanding of it. There has been members indicating a "2" in their passport but from land crossings.

I think the only concrete conclusion that one can draw from these markings is that immigrations does not have a consistent policy for applying them.

Agree- I know there are some pretty savvy folks here on this site, but I reckon that the paranoia level has got silly. I do not intend to give too many details about myself, why I think so, but am prepared to come on here in Jan and talk about the whys, wherefores, e.t.c.

Do not worry peeps, I think Rodger The Dodger (sorry if I forgot your correct log-in) is spot on. Decent people will always be welcome in LOS. If they (immigration - Thailand) want us on the kind of visas they want (of course, if working, it should be a working visa or non-:o then fine! I do not want to do silly paperwork - maybe that 1,000,000 baht visa is for me and my Japanese missus! However, think we'll pass that one up, and just stay the six months we are allowed per year.

seasons greetings all,

Well, thanks for that Bangkokgas. I'm happy to see that someone else here on this forum still has a little faith in the good will of our kind hosts here. Thais are good folks, and like all good folks anywhere, they don't mind having other good folks around! If you're kind and decent, i don't believe youre gonna have any problem now. And that's right, decent folks will always be welcome in the Land of Smile! :o
