Cops find 56 million baht in cash under the bed of drug lord's wife

HAT YAI: -- Police in Hat Yai found 56 million baht in Thai and Malaysian currency under the bed of the wife of a southern Thai drug kingpin currently jailed in Malaysia.

 

Now they are investigating whether the money is linked to the ongoing investigation of Laotian drug lord Xaysana held in Bangkok, reported Thairath.

 

The wife of Mamaruslan Dromae, 47, called Bulan has been arrested and sent to Bangkok where she will be interrogated.

 

Region 9 drug police found the stash of money in two suitcases under her bed at the Plus Condo in downtown Hat Yai.

 

There was 41 million baht, 1.5 million Ringgit, and jewelry under the bed and two cars outside suspected of having been bought with drug money. The total was 60 million baht value.

 

Bulan said that her husband had sent her the money via an employee and she was surprised there was so much. She denied that it was drug money but police dismiss this notion as they have been following her for some time and claim they have evidence of her own involvement in the drug trade.

 

Mamaruslan has been in jail in Malaysia after being busted in Kota Bahru with 70,000 Ya Ba tablets three years ago. He is thought to have been one of the biggest drug dealers in the southern border provinces of Thailand.

A cleaning lady, not a wife , would have been a better option for the "Thai drug kingpin".

Usually you find a lover boy hiding under the wife's bed, finding 56 millions is

a new twist,

woe is me, that all I can find under my wife bed are cobwebs....

She should have had a library, put behind some books. No cop would look at a book. Maybe even law books just to make sure

Clearly this is all about the seizure of assets.....possibly one or 2 may go down for drug related crime, but with the millions available to the authorities, with what appears to be carte blanch ease,  this makes new tea money, kindergarten stuff!

Let's give her the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps she was a bar girl, who was really, really, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally, good at her profession, and just placed the money near her work station. .

Well, you know how it is when loose change drops down the sofa or under the bed. 

 

It just accumulates  over time.

Its perfectly normal,just like any other country.if the owners doesn't claim it in 3 months,the finders get to keep it.

It was not drug money it was love money. Each time he had sex he left a big tip. Give it back to her she earned it on her ....
