pumpuiman Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I have always had AirAsia check id's even on domesic trips... I believe thats true.
chuchok Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Everybody checks ID these days.It is done by the Airpot Authority in CM.
sbk Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I believe it is possible to change the name on the ticket with the airline before departure.
jinjok Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 i am not aware one can change names on tickets. i do not think this is possible. i have NEVER known this to be the case.
Thaising Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Airlines won’t allow change of name, the only way is cancel the ticket and ask for refund, and that were take months. Correct me if I'm wrong.
sbk Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Change in policy then, I guess. Probably due to higher security? I changed a ticket to someone else's name but it was quite a few years ago, most definitely pre-9/11. Sorry for the misinformation

According to Air Asia's website, their terms & conditions state 5.5 Name Change: Provided that the request is made outside of six (6) hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time and the original as well as the substituted passengers' identities are authenticated, you are allowed to substitute the passenger named in the confirmed booking with another passenger subject to payment of a charge as provided for in the fee schedule. So as long as you pay the fee for the name change, it should be fine with Air Asia. Other airlines may be different.
Sporting Dog Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 If I recall correctly ticket change fees are quite expensive with AirAsia.
MyKowLope Posted December 21, 2006 Author Posted December 21, 2006 (edited) Hey guys. It's easy to transfer the airline tickets. Don't worry I already called the airline to check on this. I have up to 6 hours before flight time to make the call and transfer them. It will cost me 536 baht for each ticket that I transfer. As I said...I already called the airline and they confirmed this to me. The two return tickets are still available for 2K each if anybody's interested. If you are interested pm me. If somebody does wants them I will make the call to airasia and transfer them into your name and I will pick up the transfer charges. Cheers. Edited December 21, 2006 by MyKowLope
