If you want nothing but the best on the market, I would suggest the IQAir 250 plus, pricey @ 61,000 baht, but you will be breathing the purest air you have ever dreamed of.

I am sure there are others out there, but if you want the only one that has passed every single test out there and has been around for a while, then that's the one.

Do your research, I swear by mine, had it about 4-6 weeks and was worried about the massive outlay, but hey, if its pure air your wanting, just switch it on at night before you go to bed and you will sleep like a baby.

If you have deep pockets and want to know where I purchased mine, message me and I will pass on the details to you, but depends on what you require the filter for, as I am sure there are slightly cheaper ones, the one I got was for everything.

Cheers

"Slightly"?  Massively would be my term - that is about 10x the normal price for home air cleaners.  But guess there is always the 'Howard Hughes' need for some.

I have never been one to spend such an amount on such an item, and I am no Howard Hughes with 4 kids to feed, trust me, I did weeks of research, had also used a friends one for a few weeks back home when had cigarette smoke entering our unit from an adjoining unit, and with a new born it wasn't ideal to be trapped in your own home allowing your new born and everyone else to be breathing in 2nd hand cigarette smoke.

Living here in Isaan there is a lot of smoke burn and it does enter the house overnight as tightly sealed as it is, the IQAir 250 Plus and its triple filter system is the best on the market, I dare say if you can buy something for a lot less and it does the same job then go for it, but from my extensive research you won't, and I did say to the poster, it depends on what you want, and I needed something that gets rid of the smoke smell right down to the finest of particules, suffice to say, I couldn't find anything that came near it on the market.

Sure its the BMW of the air filters, but at 61,000 baht compared to the real BMW, it was a no brainer 555

The last house I did in the US was for an Apple engineer, the clients had that need. I don't remember the brand or the price, but it was the kind used in hospital operating rooms. What I do know was that the 6 month filter change cost a little more than a $1000 USD.

Some people want the most steril air possible for whatever there reasons are, allergies etc etc, and if they have the budget for it, well that's the quality they pay for.

We have used local made Hatari models for a decade and very happy with them - and one of the few that have local source for replacement filters.  Currently using this model at under 5k for bedroom.

I've just ordered 2 of these. They come with spare filters (if the Google translation of Thai blurb is correct) but I couldn't find the replacement filters on Lazada (not surprising as the search facility is more mysterious art than logic).

May I ask you to share your source for the replacements?

In past have bought in HomePro as they stocked the previous model filters and have not had to replace current but believe if you Google search the actual filter number it may get a Lazada hit.  Lazada actually seems to have improved there search but it still is very much a magical mystery tour trying to find things without an exact name..

Edit:  filter is RAP-1201 and links below

I have two Hatari air purifiers. The first one is pretty old and I could no longer find new filters for it. I bought a newer one and filters are readily available. I did discover that I could trim the new filters to fit the old unit.

When I get up in the mornings and go into my computer room, I get a sneezing fit. That's the reason for the air purifiers. Allergies bother me a lot. Now the bottom line. Running both purifiers in my computer room using the new filters has helped nothing. I think the benefits are way exaggerated. I now have the old one in the bedroom and the new one in my computer room. I figure they can't hurt anything but I can tell absolutely no difference. And yes, the replacement filters are quite expensive.

The replacement filters are HEPA RAP-1201. Waste of money!

Very interesting information on this site:

This seems by far the best system.  I have a Blueair Pro M myself (cost 31,000 and replacement filter 5,000 Baht) that I'm very happy with -- my only regret is not getting it from the start -- but if I'm thinking of getting a second purifier from these guys.

As for this vs. that brand, what matters most is using anything at all.
