Thank you very much  for the helpful  link Charlie.

I actually tried Lazada before I posted but searched for the "Osprey"  which didn't turn anything up.

The bag is for one of my cycling partners "Texas Bob" and he is a little pedantic  read "particular" only wants the "Osprey version.

The Osprey version I think is probably around 4/5K Baht, the one in the Lazada link 1264 Baht,  So still looking

I'm in the USA. Coincidentally was calling around yesterday for the Osprey Farpoint 55 (M/L) travel backpack.

Only 1 company in this city has it in stock - $180 USD.

I'm going to go look it over - and I imagine purchase it.

Great reviews - at Amazon the worst reviews I noticed are 4 stars out of 5, and the majority are 5 stars.

Lifetime guarantee by Osprey - repair or replace.

"Texas Bob" seems to have good taste.

Can't speak for this particular backpack, but counterfeit brand-name packs are pretty common in SE Asia, supposedly made in Vietnam.  I've purchased more than one North Face backpack over the years for around 1,000 baht.  Buyer beware.

I notice that the Lazada link does not say "Osprey" but otherwise has taken the model name and number of the one n210mp is looking for.

He certainly has Jimmy.

Thanks to all the posters for the links and helpful comments, personally being a Cheap Charlie in these matters I would go for one of the Lazada copies at below 1000 Baht.

I mean at the end of the day its a bag and $180 bucks seems way over the top to pay for something that has a high chance of being stolen (Texas Bob had an Osprey bag stolen)

I agree... and you can always have someone repair it if a zipper blows out or you rip it on something.

Otherwise, for me it's a plane/train/bus pack and 1000 baht suits my needs.

That said, if I needed a good quality pack for real trekking, I wouldn't settle for anything less than the real deal.
