SEOUL/TOKYO (Reuters) - North Korea fired four ballistic missiles early on Monday, three of which landed in Japan's exclusive economic zone, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said, the latest in a series of provocative tests by the reclusive state.

Polluted environments kill 1.7 million children a year - WHO

LONDON (Reuters) - A quarter of all global deaths of children under five are due to unhealthy or polluted environments including dirty water and air, second-hand smoke and a lack or adequate hygiene, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Monday.

BANGKOK, 6 March 2017 (NNT) – A declaration in the Royal Gazette has stripped former Dhammakaya Temple abbot Luang Por Dhammachayo of his status as a monk due to his evasion of arrest for multiple warrants and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has moved to punish the owner of Pa Seng Market for her allowance of Dhammakaya Temple follower gatherings.

Afghan family with U.S. visas detained on arrival in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. agents detained an Afghan family of five with valid entry visas at Los Angeles International Airport and have been holding them for several days in California, according to legal papers filed in federal court by human rights lawyers.

Iraq to get 10 billion pound loan for British contracts
