You could go here:

CLA 200 Urban 1,595 2,140,000 527,000 21,400 813,200
CLA 250 AMG Dynamic 1,991 2,490,000 617,000 24,900 946,200
GLA 200 Urban 1,595 2,090,000 513,000 20,900 794,200
GLA 250 AMG Dynamic 1,991 2,390,000 592,000 23,900 908,200
C 350 e Avantgarde 1,991 2,570,000 635,000 25,700 976,60

But the CLA back seat is very small.

The GLA not much better and not a sedan.

The C class might be OK if you could put up with a smaller car and +1M.

Agree, that Accord, Camry etc. may be look a little bit boring.

But the Benz are overrated and overpriced. They have very bad ratings according to Consumer Reports, especially the A and C series. The models in the same price range of Accord & Co. have low specs and small engines.

Honda and Toyota have the far more better dealer network. You just find a dealer everywhere.

I think that choosing between Accord and Camry is a matter of personal taste and preferences. For me, the new Accord is more pleasant than the (boring) Camry. The Teana may have better options but I don't like its look.

For 2.5M I'd rather get a bmw 320d (or even a wrx). While the price gap between a top of the line camry/accord and bottom rung benz does not seem so much, that gap widens over time with cost of ownership / maintenance of the benz being much higher. Sure they are nice cars, but they do have their little electrical gremlins that can go wrong over time. They cost a lot to fix. Euro cars are just for those with lots of time and money on their hands.

We like our Teana. Bought used as wanted a V6 and torque converter auto, not a L4 with CVT. Some on 12car listed for around 700K with less than 5000 km. Can't be beat. Ours has been trouble free. Does not have low profile tires so rides very nice. Quiet inside, lots of room. Quick (relative) Same same Maxima in N. America. Still keeping an eye out for a replacement - not that we want one but nice to look. Have found nothing that comes even close to the equipment/performance offered at that price point. Many cars offered for twice the money - certainly not twice the car. But - up 2 U

yes of course you get it serviced locally--- why on earth would you think of driving to BKK to service it ????????? Honda guarantee & warranty covers Thailand country wise..... its an odd question build...

This is what I got in BKK on a sale

No difference in the price because I sold my last car privately

usually they will give you a better deal but can not alter the stated sale price

Free insurance 1 year

Free Film (the top grade not the usual stuff they palm off)

Free treatment for all the seats 5 year warranty (can not stain etc)

They offered me free Glass finish on car--but it was not the top grade--so we done a deal, (they paid 80%) this I think is a must, 4 years on & not 1 stone chip on the paint with the glass finish, lifetime guarantee.... my wife has had 2 bumps---after fixing they resprayed the glass over the new paint...no cost .

So many smaller extras --just can not remember them all--took them all but removed some after---runners inside the door etc....etc ....etc

If Khampaeng Phet  gives better deal than BKK ...(that dealer had sold 17 that week)....let me know.....I'll head there next time.....:coffee1:

I haven't bought a new car in years and the Ford Ranger I did buy I bought in BKK as I was living there at the time.

You don't know what you are talking about unless it

would be a lawnmower or snowmobile with a CVT.

It could be a belt or a chain drive.

Either way they are very reliable and no problem with changing gear or

being overtaken.

Have a CVT in a Mitsubishi and it will go just as fast on the level

or up a steep grade as your manual or automatic!

Also many smaller motorbikes have the CVT and they are

very reliable.

But still cr a p.. And I doubt your Mitsu could keep up with baby stroller.

Google CVT for more info, they are widely derided by the motoring press.  What would I know I'm only a mechanical engineer ?

They have been trying to perfect the CVT for 25 years.  Auto companies have persevered because it's light and cheap to produce. In a low powered eco car it's ideal ( for the manufacturer) but they are still poor to drive and still have reliability issues. You can't polish a t u r d

That is how much you know!

I drive once a month to Khon Kaen at a speed over 100 km unless

I am slowed down by traffic.

Three cyl Mitsu with the air on.

In 25 yrs there has been a lot of engineering done on CVTs. like

Really, people always need to think about ridiculous things as maintenance, consumer reports etc ?

Nobody just wants to buy something nice and not boring ?

So yes, keep thinking and buy an ugly boring car !!!

You are wrong about engine: a 2000cc engine developing more than 200 power is more than enough, especially on Thai roads. Who is stupid enough to choose a useless more powerful engine that will use 2 times more gasoline? Oh sorry, I forgot that you might be the kind of guy who buys diesel !!!!! consumer reports !!!1 hahahahaha....

I Googled CVT and the only negative comments I could find

were the slow

startup and the noise of the engine as the CVT changed ratios.

If you can point me to a current article I would gladly read it.

Nissian Maxima has a 300 HP engine hooked up to a CVT

with a 10 yr and 120,000 mi warranty.

They must be doing something right!

Type in CVT Issues and you get quite a few articles, especially problems with Nissan.
