I really do love the self-appointed diagnosticians and wise-acres pseudo-specialists on this forum. According to Prof. Goldbuggy here, it is obvious that she was on something she couldn't handle - based on a simple fact that someone streaked down the centre of a road in Thailand. Hmmmm.

There are a number of medical/psychiatric conditions that would explain this behaviour that would have nothing to do with the consumption of illegal substances. And uncovering which one would take time. Of course, many who from certain psychological and medical conditions also take drugs (either the conditions are the result of the drug taking or the drug taking is as result of trying to get away from the pain and suffering caused by the underlying condition).

I also notice a need among certain members of the Thai Visa audience to bring in rape and kidnapping when that was never a feature of the story in the first place. The reporting and commentary on the thread says more about the mental health of some Thai Visa contributors than the diagnosis of this female streaker.

Well thank you for your report Doctor.

Some of the comments on here are awful This is a young girl someone's daughter you men should be ashamed it is just not funny. Her drink could have been spiked anything you don't know what has happened to her so stop all the smart arse comments.

Young girl? Thirty-six years of age is not a young girl; she should have known what she was doing. Yes, she could have been drugged; by someone else or by herself. She may have some psychosomatic disorder, or she may be a frustrated nudist wanting some attention. We don't know, do we?

It's all in a headline, some of you on here should be ashamed of yourselves, there really are some pathetic people posting on TVF lately

that's rich coming from you!!

I do find it kind of ridiculous that when a girl runs around Bangkok naked the reading world cries "poor girl", and comments her as being some kind of helpless and troubled girl that must have been drugged.  A

When a man runs around Bangkok naked, people comment quite differently and there is never the sympathy that a woman gets..

In all equals, this girl was maybe just having a good day out and went for a run naked. I think she's great.  I wish I had the guts to do what she did.

The only thing wrong with what she did is that it's illegal, otherwise I cheer her for making headlines and breaking the news.

Agreed that Rape & Kidnapping never should have been brought up in this story, as there is nothing to indicate this. And as I tried to say.

Agree also we don't know the cause of this woman's actions, although I don't think there is too many causes out their that would cause someone to forget their name and to take off all there clothes and parade nude on a busy street in a Big City. I suppose she could have mental health issues, which then makes me wonder what she is doing their alone? But who knows?

The only person who I knew personally who did something like this, was a person who without their knowledge got stoned on LSD. She took off all of her clothes and ran around nude, which was totally opposite of her normal behavior. After a couple of nights in a Psycho Ward, she ended up being okay.

So I can't argue that in this case it is different, as I don't know anyone with a Mental Condition who would do this. But I do know a case when somebody was on drugs they couldn't handle and did this.

She doesn't appear that she was forced to make the naked run.

I'm not criticizing her actions.  If there was an actual story behind the entire event, maybe I'd think differently.

Could be, she could have been drugged. happened to a girlfriend of my niece. somebody slipped something in her drink, she was lucky my niece and a other friend were there to protect her and bring her back to the guesthouse safly. who knows what might have happened ?

Drugged Yes! Even unknowingly! But Raped No!

She was taken to the hospital and examined, and no indication of Rape was present. They may have done a drug test on her as well, which wouldn't surprise me none, but I doubt we would ever hear the results from that test.

This woman was obviously not in her normal state of mind. Whatever the cause!

So I too won't criticize her either as she was not in a normal metal condition to know what she was doing.

There are some really weird Farlangs that visit or live in Thailand. Who knows what are their backgrounds or what they are into? Like to know how they can afford to come here and how they manage to stay in Thailand?

Recall ditty from childhood: "There's a place in France/ where the women wear no pants" but this is taking it a bit far afield, ya think?

Yeah , just where  is that "place" ?  I'm planning a trip there fairly soon.

ok maybe I missed something but would you like to explain how you know this

I believe nothing in Thailand unless I see it for myself in person

You think this woman had her drink spiked with Rohypnol (flunitrazepam)  or something like in Khao San. It possibly would cause the memory loss and disorientation she was displaying...

Maybe the hairy armpits put the potential rapist off?

Whatever happened, she was not exactly acting normal, and I bet the "chase" by the BiB must have been one of the slowest "Hot" pursuits in history worthy of a Benny Hill sound track. :clap2:

It seems she has come to no harm, just a little sunburn and embarrassment.

A hundred baht fine for inappropriate dress given where it was?

Pop can mai!

If I remember correctly:

"There's a place in France where the ladies wear the pants, but the men don't care 'cause their wear their underwear."

Bi polar, diabetic, crazy or just druggie. Sad

Diabetic??

How would that make her want to walk around naked?

I have been diabetic for over 30 years and never once have I felt and urge to wander around naked in public.

Fare enough!

If you read the LINK from the first Headline Post you will see where it says she was taken to the hospital for evaluation. On the second Headline Post LINK it says that this woman was examined by nurses and did not find any injuries on here. The Police Officer heading up this investigation further commented and said she was not attached, So it was all here! You just had to read it,

But don't feel bad that you missed something here as I did to. It appears she wasn't on drugs either. From her own statement she was just doing her own thing, and stripped off because she was hot and wanted to cool down. So we were both wrong! Here is that LINK where she says this.

They did take her back to the hospital for further evaluation and see if she is suffering from some mental disorder, but as it looks for right now she isn't. Spent the night with the police until the Psycho Ward opened up and was very friendly and cooperative, with no signs of a mental problem.

I'm English from London but I'm ashamed lately with the amount of brits causing probs over here.

The best thing you can do then is go home to London where you will not come across such issues.  I have been living here fo 30 years and nothing surprises me and nothing upsets me.

I have had LBS or Hypos many many times. I know and recognize the symptoms and do something to correct it. On some occasions I have had very low sugar levels but still never felt the urge to walk around naked confused or otherwise.
