Importing personalised sugar sachets

Thailand is a major producer of sugar, why would you want to import it ?

I am sure you could find  a manufacturer  here that would package in sachets

with your artwork if  the quantity warranted it,

buy glass jars with stainless steel lids and a nice little sugar spoon.

sugar sachets are so UK B&B gauche. bit like the butter portions in the plastic tiny tubs and sachets of nescafe coffee.

come on.

I was actually hoping to get some info more on the lines of if it was possible and if not

why not?

I have generally found when doing business that you are more likely to be successful if

you give people what they want or like rather than what you think is more convenient for

you.

Buy a rubber stamp with your own logo and get to work.

Not quite the professional image we would like to convey???

It's a (deleted) coffee shop, not a Hilton or Sheraton.

I don't even know where to start with an attitude like that????

I may be wrong but it would seem that you think professionalism

is only for large hotel chains and should not be pursued by pissing

little coffee shops.  I assume you are not in any kind of service

venture here then?

... and on Amazon (UK) https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Apersonalised+sugar+sachets&keywords=personalised+sugar+sachets&ie=UTF8&qid=1489673540

scroll to the bottom of the page for more choices.

Looks like the cost will be around 15 -18 pence a piece for orders of 1,000, which seems pretty pricey.

You could try contacting these people (UK) ... http://www.sachetsdirect.com/

or this one (India) ... http://www.mawanafoods.com/brands/sugar/personalised-sugar-sachets/

Thanks CL I am currently in discussion with sachets direct and they asked me if i could find out about

importing their sachets into Thailand as they have never sent anything to here before, hence my op.

I will have a look at your other links again thanks for the pointers.

I probably should have been a bit more explicit in my op I was hoping for some info on importing and tariffs etc. if there are any such charges? Is it ok to import sugar or not?

Sorry once again you have lost me straight over my head.

Can you help or are you just bored and posting for the annoyance

factor?

Could you not just ask them to send a small amount over in a dummy run so to speak? they don't even have to be personalized, see if they are pulled up for whatever reason? if they are then you have lost a small amount on postage and packaging.

I would think that you'd have to bulk-buy personalised sugar sachets and unless you've got a chain of shops it's not going to be cost effective.

Jock, have you tried these guys?

Is 10,000 a high quantity? At 100 sachets per day; as an example; that is 3 months supply. For printed material the initial set-up costs inflate the unit price. This falls if more units are ordered.

Does not seem very high but you need to double it for white and brown sugar so in reality

the minimum is 20,000.

You are a bit off on our daily consumption we would love to have 100 sachets a day flying

off the shelf but it is less than half that in the real world, 30 to 40.

You could be right grollies, I am just at the enquiry/discussion stage at the moment and have not yet

made an order.

I just had a quick look at your link and I will get the missus(boss) to give them a call, thanks

This Thai company produces personalised packages http://www.srithaifood.co.th/eng/product_seasoning_04.php

Customers seem to be big chains - but could be worth a phone call.

Another Indian company ... http://www.wrapperindia.com/packaging-sachet.html

The cost of these personalised sachets/tubes seems prohibitively high for a small business (not that I am any sort of business expert).

How about naming the coffee shop Tate & Lyles - or some other name that is already printed on readily available sachets/tubes - I'm only half joking.
