Video: Security guard beats woman colleague - but no man lifts a finger to help

If a farang  had been there and tried to help the girl  probably both the girl and the man beating her and the other man who would not help the girl would all beat the farang and then the cops would arrest the farang.    Stay out of this kind of thing,  it is a no win.

Quite simply it comes from the top.
Those in power show little or no decency morals and fairness. Those below them who may try to act with decency and fairness, and therefore clash with the powerful are often utterly destroyed by the revenge taken.
The people are cowed.

Yes, that is exactly what happened in Thailand. Sometimes poor people will not take legal action knowing very well they couldn't win against the rich and the powerful.

The filthy rich will take laws in their hands while acting like they were innocent and the worst part is they join the community in temple activities, like to be seen chanting some buddhist text in temples.

Do they really believe people don't know what they did?

I don't think it's getting more prevalent, I think it's always been the Thai culture to behave in this manner.
The fact is now with social media as it is & the ease of which to capture & spread the attacks is why we are seeing more.

Maybe just maybe Thai authorities will do justice for the women & put this thug out of the way.

Yes, you are probably correct...just more public these days. The only other country I know of that has this kind of gender violence is Korea and even then the incidence of it is declining ( and it is a very patriarchal society, EG, until about 20 years ago a man convicted of a crime could nominate his wife to actually serve the prison sentence as a proxy).

i stepped up to a punk dragging his gf down some stairs on Silom on night. Next thing I knew, I was confronted with 5 of his friends. I held my ground, and they laid off, but made me wonder how much of a hero I need to be given the Thai girl just walked away in the group.

Well this low life not only attacked a woman but didn't have the balls to confront the person who caused the problem, a man , so that says it all about Thai men. Where I come from you just don't !! raise your hand to a woman period ... Thai men are lucky they don't have to fight wars as it seems clear what these cowards would do then .

They have zero respect for woman and it show she how easy they walk from responsibilities like paying for the kids they father .

They do have a bit of a ferile approach to life.

Illegal mexi----  are quite ferile, and should be dealt with accordingly through the use of traps.

Not sure the "man beats woman" title is very relevant when she is easily 10kg heavier and 10cm taller than the guy...

Real men DO NOT beat up women, regardless of their size. I think most men would agree.

Beating a man half your size is ok, but beating a woman bigger and taller isn't? Beating a woman who is threatening your life is still a no?

Thai women often say to me "Thai man no good .."

After seeing this sort of behavior, now I know what they mean !

Skinny little scumbag should get done over by a real man and see how he likes it.

I bet he'd run away like a scared rabbit to get his mates.

You seem to yell a lot to the Thai in their language.

Maybe they don't want to get any advice from farang?? No matter if you're right or not.

Look at the other guard, he/she just walked away from the fight. The offender will get his beef back Thai style...don't worry...he better not drive a motobike when he goes home.

2x

Payback is going to be a bitch for this guy.

The mobile phone (cellular phone) will be the salvation of this country. It may take 20 years-but salvation it will be as they emerge blinking from their incarceration in 15th century Transylvania,.Then I hope the women will give the Thai males the flogging that they deserve-or drop them in the Marianas Trench-whichever the women prefer...

Thais males generally don't even respect themselves, so I can't expect them to respect anything or anyone else.

I know there are some good Thai men out there, but they are the minority.

One of the things I learned here is that you NEVER interfere when Thais are fighting!

If you interfere either one or maybe both will turn against you and if one has a gun, maybe you are the one that will be shot or even killed....

So just walk away - NOT your problem, let the Thais sort it out themselves......

I saw this several times when I lived in Pattaya. A foreigner gets involved when some loser Thai guy is beating up his hooker girlfriend. Both then turn on the foreigner, and sometimes a few Thai bystanders will jump in to get a few kicks once the foreigner is on the ground.

Ahhh, Thailand, going backwards day after day. Fighting real hard to get back to the caveman days.

Oh, oh.....new slogan. "Thailand, the caveman hub of the world!" It's getting less civilized as years go by.

But the real story here is that a Thai guy fought by himself. Usually it takes four or more to fight one person, guy or girl.

Yes your spelling is right. Mine is wrong but you get the intent. Sometimes the fingers don't type what the mind is spelling. Its old age I guess. Well time to go brush my (toothes pluraleze) and guess who is starring back at me in the mirror.

C,mon, guys, you have to be a Thai to understand the "thainess" of this situation !

Did anyone asked ...what caused this fellow so much anger ?

This days woman wants equity ...everywhere in the world and they are doing great job .

Man ... look what woman can do to the man having more rights then a man this days.

I do NOT say it is right to have situation as on this video ...but we will see more and more scenes like that  in any country.

This days woman manipulates a law to the extent that man can be pushed to the limit and I know a lot of it just from Australian incidents also ending in death of woman or man hanging himself in desperate move where woman can do anything in this country against a man.

Guys , times are changing rapidly and every country culture is absorbing worst things especially when people are bombarded with violence on tv or any media.

This days kicking a man laying on ground is normal and every movie is a normal thing....

I remember a different story when a media was not so strong.

I think problem is somewhere else and no one wants to even say openly a word except this forum..

Do NOT blame Thai people only ...it happens everywhere in the world on everyday basis and we do not see it because media is not fast enough.....

Maybe you are right. I've kind of given up hope that this kind of thuggery will end ; in fact it seems to be getting even more prevalent. Disgusting and disgraceful.

Horrible. Don't know how people can stand around like that. It's one guy. And I don't wanna hear about how it's the culture and you don't get involved. This is simply wrong and wrong always trumps the 'culture' card.

Few days ago I was walking on the pavement and I saw the coffee lady give her 2 year old kid 20 baht to take over to another vendor. The kid was walking close to a busy road so I stood to the left of the kid. I shouted at the lady not to leave her young kid to walk by the road. People looked at me like I was some kind of social reprobate. I'd like to think someone saw and agreed with me.

...okay...your a social reprobate.

The OP states that the cowardly attack was a result of the coward having an argument with the victims boyfriend.... but that the coward attacked the girlfriend instead of the man he had an argument with.

pathetic behavior... behavior that should not be condoned or excused.

as an aside, completely unprofessional, as well as pathetic.... if the coward in question, was also a superior, as some have suggested, this is even worse.

Were these the sort of security guards who carry guns? If so, i think the answer, is quite clear.

Some security guards are low-ranking ex-policemen or ex police candidates who have been dishonorously expelled from the police service. A weapon is never far away.
