Bluespunk
I am never disappointed in my view that a vast number of fb users are complete and utter morons. Do they not realise how easy it is to get caught selling illicit goods, publicly, on site that just about anyone can access, if they choose to do so? The world is full of idiots. At least FB makes police work easy. A much needed ally and resource in country that disdains gritty police work and investigations. sstuff3
Once again the animals originated from Chatuchak Market. One must wonder why they don't investigate the source if they truly want this to stop.

Emster23
Several years ago I took pictures of man and woman in front of Central Pattaya charging tourists for photos with slow loris. I contacted Wildlife NGO in BKK who said they'd get right on it. Nothing happened, of course. One aspect of rescuing these loris is that often teeth are removed so can't bite, but also means they can't go back to native habitat.

It will be a bit hot and sweaty in Chatuchak at the moment , much easier to sit in A/c office surfing through FaceBook. regards worgeordie

ratcatcher
Perhaps when she's paid a simple fine, she can try this version of the loris.

The reason they do not go to JJ market is simple Once they show up the animals disappear before they can even see them

jak2002003
Good she got caught. I see far too much of this kind of stuff. I know 2 people who have wild caught leopard cats as pets, someone who has 2 crocodiles in a pit in his yard, and people who hunt native protected deer to make lab graang dip. I see people fishing at night with electricity in the 'protected temple lake'. I even have been to a house where the guy had a real tiger skin hanging on the wall!!! In one of the local temples they have a 'zoo' with wild caught hornbill birds, Siamese crocodiles, wild boar, pythons, turtles and tortoises.... all kept in tiny dirty cages.. and mysteriously vanishing to be replaced by new animals. There is a huge lack of respect for wildlife here... but even in the UK, we have destroyed out wildlife so we are just as bad. The only thing I think will stop this stuff is if the punishments are very severe. Fines and a slap on the wrists are pointless.
