I can not  find anything  in any past posts  about  making  phone calls to the uk ,I use to get  Net Cards  from  our local post office , from  CAT  , but they  have stopped  doing them ,  and they where very  cheap , call to a  uk  land line 2 baht/minute .

I have used  the  AIS  prefix code 0500 ,that works  ,and  not that expencive  ,but last night  had to phone  my  banks   call  center , there  dialing  code  would not  except  the 0500  code ,

by the time I made the call  it cost me 300 baht .

So , anyone  know  of a cheap way to phone the uk ,have   tryed  the card  from  7-11  ,but  got a very bad   connection  with  them  .

Thanks  a lot.

I use the 009 prefix before the country code with my AIS SIM. It is about half the price of using a +, especially to a landline.

And no problems with getting through to UK Banks etc.

I use 003 it is much cheaper than 005 with my ais sim card. 18 baht instead of 25 baht but to GCC countries I don't know if 003 can be used to call european countries.

Thanks for the replies , the 009  prefix  use to be the  code  for the  CAT  Net Cards ,  the AIS  00500  ,  phoning  to a  land line is about  6 baht/minute  as Rc2702 said  it can only  be used on certain  numbers  ,  most UK  0800 free call numbers ,I have got  charged  the full price  from AIS ,

Next week  got  phone  the call  center again ,will    try  009 .

Again  thanks a  lot .
